FSSAI Basic Registration is designed for small food and beverage businesses with an annual turnover of up to Rs. 12 lakhs. It is a simplified form of the FSSAI Food License, accessible through the FSSAI registration form. Approximately 35 States/UTs issue the License/Registration certificate online.
The FSSAI license is typically issued for a duration of 1 to 5 years, depending on the business’s needs. Renewal of the FSSAI license must be applied for before the expiry date, preferably 30 days prior. Besides basic registration, there are two other categories of FSSAI License – State Food License and Central Food License.
