How to Become a Member of the Carpet Export Promotion Council?
CEPC stands for Carpet Export Promotion Council. It’s an organization established by the Government of India, Ministry of Textiles, in order to promote and develop the export of carpets and other floor coverings from India.
CEPC works closely with the carpet manufacturers and exporters to develop new markets and improve the quality of Indian carpets, as well as providing information and assistance with export regulations and compliance. It helps merchants export their products and gain access to the international market.
CEPC also organizes participation in international trade fairs and exhibitions, and provides promotional and marketing support to members. The council also works closely with other organizations and government departments to provide support to the carpet industry and exporters.
What is the CEPC RCMC Registration?
The registration cum membership certificate, or RCMC, of the Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC) is a document that certifies an individual or company as a member of the council and allows them to participate in the council’s various programs and initiatives.
The certificate is issued by the CEPC to manufacturers and merchant exporters of carpets, and is a prerequisite for exporting carpet products. Once the certificate is obtained, the manufacturer or merchant exporter is able to export their goods and take advantage of the benefits offered by the CEPC, such as access to export markets, trade fairs, and other promotional activities.
Additionally, the RCMC serves as a proof of membership of the council and also helps in availing various schemes and benefits offered by the government.
Documents Required for CEPC Registration
These are the list of documents that are needed to be presented before the carpet export promotion council to get the CEPC RCMC membership registration for the exporters/ manufacturers of carpet.
- Proof of manufacturing facility such as MSME certificate in case of manufacturer
- CA certificate certifying export performance of last 3 years
- Proof of export in case of new exporters
- An affidavit stating applicant or any members of firm/company has never been blacklisted by any govt body
- An affidavit saying the firm/company will abide by the code of conduct of the carpet export promotion council
- Partnership deed/MoA & AoA in case of firm or company as applicable
- Import export code certificate issued by DGFT
- Income tax permanent account number (PAN card)
- Copy by GST certificate
EPC Membership Registration
The entrance fee for new members of the carpet export promotion council is ₹2,360 and the membership cost for CEPC is ₹2,360. The total fee would be ₹4,720 including GST.
However the fee structure for exporter who export goods of worth more than 50 lakh are as follows:
